Hey all, I am currently looking at making a "proper" league with USA teams in it, Currently swapping it with the polish league. If anyone has a different suggestion on which league to swap with I would welcome the comments. Basically I've found that if you change the nation of the league eg swapped poland for USA but not the continant, the league works. The champions league is also unaffected as the polish league teams still qualify. This is how the league looks at the minute.
Major League Soccer
Atlanta Silverbacks
Chicago
Chivas USA
Colorado
Columbus
DC United
FC Dallas
Houston
Kansas City
Los Angeles
Miami FC
Minnesota
New England
New York
Salt Lake

The wage budget is terrible in the mls and you can't sign the big players, you can't even get Brian McBride back because of the wages. I find a larger league with a final league table the better option, By no means does this mean you have to agree with me its only my preference. And I believe for FM 2006 someone was doing a USA 2050 project similar to this.

After Testing I found the game crashed the 2nd Season for the champions league draw. The structure must need to be the same as FM 2006. I have ideas on how to solve this.

I think its a good idea, couldn't you just swap the teams? Or wouldn't that work becuase of the two different nationalities?

You need to swap Poland and USA's TLA(Three letter name) as that is what the game uses to distinguish which league belongs to which country. So if you haven't switched them, the game will still assume that the league belongs to Poland and will try to get Champions League qualifiers from it.
After doing this, you will also be able to to set the continent properly.

I was trying to do it without swapping the TLA but as with the previous version it seems impossible, The game runs fine untill the champions league draw then knacks up. Anyway will try it with the TLA swapped see what happens

As I'm wanting to keep the Champions League I have decided to try and swap the league with an asian league. Swapping the continant Asia to OCE would disable all the asian champions leagues etc and I would still have a champions league.
