I can't recall who posted the details of the 3-5-2 WB tactic on here but Iwould like to give them a huge thankyou. 3 at the back that works extremely well, I have made a quite a few tweaks to the instructions but the formation remains as posted. The football is attractive and flows so well and the defence is as tight as you would like it to be. I have played three seasons straight and the AI keeps trying to "crack" the tactic but (so far)has failed. Chelsea, Man Utd, Liverpool and Arsenal have all fallen by the wayside - home and away. :thup:

No discussion - just thanks for pointing me in the right direction with the formation. Incidentally it can be downloaded from FMDownloads (?) the tactic is called (as the title suggests) 3-5-2 WB.

Perhaps the tactic maker will make themselves known again as it is really worth a go... :thup:

That link up there is the original thread. Even as you,totallyblue, state that you don't want to create a discussion, I for one would be very happy to know your tweaks. Soo, if possible, can you post them here or in the original thread. If you upload the tactic, I can see for myself.

I really , really don't want to create a discussion there is way too much negativity within this forum - "it's crap" and "waste of time" etc, it works for me and is the best tactic I have employed (including others posted on here).I posted as a way of saying thanks to the creator of the formation. Besides I tweaked it to suit my players and the style of football I wanted to play since the game came out.

Not sure if he's trying to 'pull your plonker' here! Loads of people are dying to try and create what he describes above but with this version of FM it is not possible without at least constantly changing things.
I created a similar formation to this recently and i kept 6 clean sheets in a row and i saw messages from the media about my defence that i had never seen before. I really thought i had sussed the game. In the 7th game against nobody special, my opponents had 28 shots. After that i couldn't keep a clean sheet no matter who i played.
How can a tactic go from so brilliant to so bad?
That is FM 07 for you, so 'totallyblue' sorry if i'm so sceptical but the game has made me that way.
NO TACTIC WILL WORK WEEK IN WEEK OUT.
