Now i know this has been mentioned countless times and no real solid evidence either way. My example happened just now. Been at my montpellier team now for 4 years got them promoted 2nd year to first league and finished 3rd two seasond ago and 4th last year. This year we are 7 games into the league and won 6 drawn 1. The big game, Lyon at Lyon. Odds are firmly stacked against my team but I feel we can get a result. So pre-game I tell my lads "you can win this". They proceed to tear Lyon apart. 3-0 at half time. Give them a wrap at half time and they go on and win 4-0. What a result! Tell them i'm extatic with them. As you would. Check team talk effect. Pre-game werent listening, Half time seemed confused and full time werent listening. WTF if i was new and had no reputation or rapour with my players I could understand. Now I can see from time to time the negative effect talks have but seriously why wouldnt they be listening?
