I can't find many shots of team formations on here. When I setup a standard 442 I always worry that there is too much space between the DC and MF. Sometimes I put a DM right in front of the defence which works, then put an AM ahead of him but then it looks like there's too much space between them and the ST, so then I move the AM up a bit and it looks like there's too much room between him and the DM. I know you can use the arrows to bring them back or move them forward, but if you were setting up a diamond formation do you have a gap between the DM and the AM or are they next to each other?
setting the individual mentalities will help with that gap you are worried about.....for instance, I use the rule of one where my keeper could be a 4, my DC's 5, my DL/DR 6, DM 7, MC's 8, AMC 9, ST 10
Also, look into definsive line. it seems that with flat 442, you souldn't play deeper than normal. I usually play at the lowest normal, and if I wanted to play deep I would play with 4222.

What do you mean by "my DC's 5, my DL/DR 6...", what do the numbers represent?
