Bad news, it appears i spoke too soon. I have started the season 5 games gone, 2-1-2. Not great, worse news i have been outplayed in all the matches. It went so well pre-season aswell. I dont know what went wrong.

ETM: Probably your reputation has increased and other teams are playing more cautiously against you, limiting your already few chances? might be wrong though....
Nice, I was working on one of these for my notts county game I'm going to start, will work wonders as a basis! Now I just have to hunt down a Targetman who is not 39 years old and willing to play for me  | |

| Hmmmz...what is your defintion of outplayed?
I regularly "enjoy" less then 45% possession and still manage to have 1 - 0 or even 2 - 0 games. I can't exactly say why because other then stating your losses i dunno what went wrong. Quote:

i've tried it and it's alright, but 2 DMs seems like pushing it really... Seems like there are to many long range opertunities for the other team and for some reason every time someone tries a 30 yarder against me it goes in. GRRR
But I really like the pesimistic aproach, I find it very pleasing  | |

Yeah...i got promoted with alfreton...and i'm not doing too well at all with it.
Its pretty darn dour this approach.

I played with a similar tactic on FM2005, with Roma I think, and won Serie A first season.
I will try it again on FM07 and see how it goes.

Maybe its the re-ranking, when i say outplayed i mean 40 percent posession, and the other team having 15 plus shots every game.
I really cant find a decent working tactic for this game, i can get a tactic to work superbly for 3 or 4 games and then it just all goes Pete Tong in a big way.

KOTU,
Have played a few games with Elfsborg in Swedish Allsvenskan. Lost one and have won 3 I think.
We don't concede many(expect the 3-0 loss) and also don't score that many, but most important is to keep winning.
I have changed one of the FC's to an OMC and it works quite good.
Will update when I've played some more.
