It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Thanks for uploading. i'll give it a go at conference level.
Nice to see a tactic that isn't based on a scientific formula that you have to reconfigure 15 times a game due to the position of the moon in orbit or the wind chill factor.

I will likely start a new game after the new patch has been released, unfortunately I was messing around the other day with the database and consequently I couldn't get my savegames to load so I lost my Toon save amongst others

1st thing on the list of priorities is sorting the defence out, even though I've had no issues with it...sounds weird that

You did originally design it to be attacking iirc. Maybe you just got lucky defensive wise

I've used this tactic (modified it abit) for three seasons now and I've won the league with Man U three times in a row (playing against a friend who's playing Arsenal) What I'm most impressed by is the amount of goals scored on corners and freekicks by my defenders. My strikers haven't really lived up to my expectations but since my defenders doing tons of goals i'm happy anyways.

First season Vidic scored 10 goals in the league. Second season he scored around 15 and finally in the third he has scored 19 goals.
This being my best "offensive" center back, should also note that Rio Ferdinan scored quite afew goals for me to until he decided to leave on a freetransfer to Arsenal (hope he dies) same with Woodgate who's scoring around 5-10 goals / season for me.

Totally agree with the thing about the CB's. They are the stars of this tactic.

Even though I don't get as many goals from them as phastari (King got 6 last season), they are always the best players on the pitch, getting MoM, highest avg. etc.

Haven't as of yet found any recipe for defensive succes away though - just played a match that ended 3-3.

Somehow I can't edit my own post, but I would be interested to know, which tweaks you have done to the tac, Phastari?

And how many goals/game do you concede (on avg.)?
