I may look at those instruction changes for a version 2
Specifically what changes did you make to the MC's?
| No changes at all to the MC's - only changes were those for the two strikers. I just felt that the MC's worked well as a duo using the exact instructions you currently use.
btw I am only using the home version of your tactic </BLOCKQUOTE>
Ah I get ya, for some reason I thought you'd changed them but looking back you did mention all the areas :o |

cheers for this buxton.
ive began a new game with ipswich using your tactics - so far so good. got a point away at preston and beat barnsley at home.
i was successful with ipswich last time, promoted in first season winning uefa cup in 09/10 and playing in champions league in 10/11. however this made my league form suffer and i finished 12th and got sacked!
im hoping this tactic will serve me as well as my previous 4-4-2 where i tended to stick with holding midfielder (arrow back) and att mid (arrow forward). i also used long ball up to target man for the pace of danny haynes to run onto - obviously your tactic doesnt allow for that.
i will let you know how i get on after a few more games.
do the wingers and strikers have to be quick? also do u have to set target man/playmaker?
also how do u adjust your tactics during the game when you may be winning comfortably or needing to find that equaliser?
feedback would be much appreciated.

| Personally, I always like my wingers to be quick and good at dribbling so I can't comment on those that aren't and how it would work. The slowest striker I had with Newcastle was Shola Ameobi, he's about 13/14 for Acceleration and Pace and he still scored goals so...
No Targetman/Playmaker ticked and the only thing I would tweak if I felt it was needed is the Mentality or Width sliders, depending on the situation but got to say I've done that very rarely during a match I just like to stick with it.

what about the DL buxton, iirc in my game woodgate has 13 pace and taylor 12, does your scout ever recommend playing a deep line and if you do do you swap an mc to a dmc position or leave it as?
i ask as i've tested with forest (who have slow dc's..) and it seems vital to have defenders with pace.

Taylor is about 14/15 for pace and I'm sure Woodgate is faster than that (he's deceptively quick IRL).
I never change the D-Line, even when I have Moore or Huntington in there, I don't want to upset the balance of the team. I've never changed the positions either.
I just decided to take more risks and not change my system to suit the opposition by changing players into different positions, I just change the fullbacks FR's and Team Instructions if I ever feel like I have to do it.
