Buxton - First off congrats on creating an excellent tactic
Been testing this with a couple of sides (Sunderland - sorry Buxton

- and Forest) and I must say its brilliant. I made a couple of small adjustments to the strikers by giving them instructions to rarely take long shots and run with the ball oftern, and it has been going from strength to strength.
It is solid defensively, the man marking centre backs dont let much through, and the fullbacks seem to cover round the back so well (which surprised me as they have instructions to often make forward runs and I thought they would get caught out of position a bit)
The midfield is set up so the 2 central players act as a duo rather than one getting forward and one getting back, and I much prefer that (playing like 2 pistons in a machine, getting back and forth in unison). The wide men are devastating if they have pace and score a number of goals (At Sunderland I have Tobias Hysen and Paul Anderson on loan from Liverpool, and they are dynamite) as well as getting a number of crosses into the area.
Up front the tweaks I have made see them take less pot shots at goal, and as such my shots on target percentage has increased. These 2 get the majority of chances, and once again, if you can add pace to your forward line and get them to run at defenders often you are onto a winner.
I am not normally a 4-4-2 fan, but If I was to set a 4-4-2 system up it would be like this. It reminds me of how Wigan played last season and Reading this season. Nice and simple yet devastatingly effective both offensively and defensively.
Once again thankyou Buxton, you have helped me to revive my love for FM 07
