It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default creative freedom for strikers??!!

how does this affect the performance of a striker?

I think it works like this and this is only my personal opinion. The more creative freedom you give the more mixed intructions you have to give so the striker can choose himself. Now I play with low creative freedom across the board and instead give often intructions so I know what to expect rather then it being the other way around. I think it's manager to manager what you choose to do but whether it be Dean Windass or Adriano I always give low CF

thankyou jhoseh

now having a midfielder with high c/f he would look for that killer ball to play in the striker right?

so if the striker had high c/f do you think he'd look for that killer ball to split the defence to play in his strike partner or create an amazing chance for himself??

Just try to keep on the balance, I usually watch the few first highlights to see how far the striker is from my opponent's goal, if the distance is big then he'll receive above average CF, otherwise his duty is only to look for the goal thus below average CF.

High flair and high CF are amazing for those manager who're looking for astonishing goals.

My understanding of creative freedom is how much of a liscence a player has to stray from the set tactic. Higher creative freedom allows the player to find his own space...
A SC with a CF of 1 would pretty much stay in his channel all the time...glued between the penalty spot and the post.
I use fairly high creative freedom for EVERYONE except the GK and DCs. Especially strikers!
Creative Freedom also seems to come into play defensively too. A player with a CF of 1 will not fill a gap created by a player who made a forward run.
If you want a more fluid style make sure most of your player are at LEAST normal in CF.

Regardless of position, creative freedom determines how often a player will look for a creative play that will also increase the risk of a defensive breakdown. Hence, when you set a player's CF, you need to look at his creativity attribute and his decisions attribute. The latter will determine how correctly he judges the situation before making the play, while the former will determine the quality of the chance created.

So, a player with a high creativity attribute and a low decisions attribute will be more likely to make a successful play - say, a killer through-pass - but he will also be at greater risk for making the attempt in a spot that could result in a turnover and counter-attack. Conversely, a player with low creativity and high decisions attribute will be less likely to make his play at a bad time, but also less likely to make that killer pass.
