I have been giving this tactic a go with Fiorentina in serie A. 10 games into the season and I must say I'm very impressed.
10P 7W 3D 0L 25For 5Ag
Two of the draws I blame on injuries but all in all it looks like a great tactic. I had to change the marking on the centre backs to zonal after the first game against Chievo though (3-3). After that nine games with 22-2 in goal difference. This includes wins vs Milan (4-0 at home) and Lazio (3-0 away)
Toni has scored 13 in 10 as striker. Mutu has 6 goals and 4 assits in 6 games as AMC(been injured).

| Great I am very glad to see that it's working for all of you.
Yeah concearning CB marking, when I started to create this tactic it was first set to zonal marking but seeing that at the time of the final touches i had two good CB's with good marking and pace I decided for man marking

I've actually tried it for Liverpool, played three away matches with it.
W:2 D:1
The tactic seems to draw the opposition keeper out, and the striker capitalises with a 35-40 yard strike into the goal.
It would be fair to mention that in the game I drew (Aston Villa) I, being the foolish feller I am, went and placed a player in the absolute wrong position.
With unfortunately no other player to play in that position.
The other two games were both Manchester United Away, One in the league and one in the FA Cup.
Take away the fact that in my game they're down in 6th, they were still quite formidable.
A good tactic!

| If you are having problems try the following:
-set your passing to direct
-put your CB's to zonal marking
-put your defence to one notch over deep
...really wierd that your having problems with defending, coz any team i played so far had about 0.7-0.8 goals recieved per game

| Well as I mentioned although i am playing this game for half of my life I have never played anything else than Italy and Croatia, but I see no reason why not.
I mean the defence is most important part of any team in any leauge. As I started to create it my main focus was on defence where I think I did a good job.
Seeing that most teams in Italy are still not joining the "revolution" in football where in last couple of seasons the whole world is playing mostly over the wings (playing 4-3-3 that transforms into 4-5-1) , but are rather sticking to playing through the midfield, and with that said my tactic is pretty much played wide it should suit even more Premiership where every team has good wingers.
Also I am very glad that its going good for you....keep me posted.

Finished the season with Fiorentina and I must say I'm very impressed. Finished second in the league, 3 points behind Inter. Since we started the season with -15 points we should have won the league 12p clear.
Record: 38Pld 28W 8D 2L 90For (2.37/g) 28Ag (0.73/g)
Toni scored 34 goals in 37 games as striker. Mutu 17 goals and 14 assists in 35 games. He played about 50/50 as ML/AMC due to injuries in the midfield. Santana scored 6 and got 22 assists as MR playing 38 games.
After about half the season I changed the passing to global on everyone except the centre backs. I also changed closing down to global for everyone except the back four. The reason for these changes was mainly to adjust when playing away games against strong teams. I also untick free role on the right MC when playing away from home.
Will continue with the tactic next season when I hopefully can get some quality defenders since I feel many goals I concede could have been avoided with better defenders.

| So when you set it to global (passing and closing down I mean) for away games what to you set these global instructions.......and about the free role on the MC yeah thats what i did for my Cisco Roma game coz when i made the tactic I had Pirlo in that role and he was perfect.
I see that you have a great record with only 2 defeats which is a great result in my book for serie A....and I am glad to see that you are conceeding less that 0.8 what was my main intend when creating this tactic

| It depends on who I face. Against a strong team (for example Inter) I go defensive and counter. In that case I lower the closing down, not much just a little. I do this because I want them to come deep into my half so I can counter effectively. Further I reckon they will play short passing so I go direct (12-13) with the passing and keep the tempo on quick.
Against a weaker team I raise the closing down to about 16 or 17 and keep the passing on short.
Concerning the right MC I tend to switch players depending on if I'm home or away. At home (with free role) I use guys like Montolivio or Liverani whose strengths are offensive. Away (without free role) I have mostly used Donadel and Gobbi who are far more defensive minded.
