Am very new just bought FM 2997 on recommendation (game is brilliant!!!)

I have some "novice "questions (hope I don't bore you)

Whats more important main attributes or the total of the blue bars then main attributes as a reference

Can a midfielder ie. mc, dmc, mrc, mlc, amc, amrc, amlc also play on the wing even though his preferred position is just midfield not winger

On a player search is there any defined attributes to employ before deciding position

Attributes are what decide how you player plays.

On each players screen, go to the positions option and check which position they are natural or accomplished in and they will be ok in that position

The attributes that you consider important for that position- those were mentioned in youir post in GQ

I looked through all the tactics questions but thought my question was too stupid too put there
