Is matching up various sliders inportant in a tactic?
I am once again tinkering about with tactics. I thought I had it sorted in the original game and then was blown away by the patch. Tinkered again and had a solid post patch 4-4-2 but the game crashed and for some bizarre reason since I started a new game that tactic doesn't work either.
I'm not one to download tactics as I prefer to tinker about but I do try to incorporate ideas.
The sliders are what intrigues me most. Is it beneficial to match certain sliders up?
In 2007 I used the old suggestion of tempo mirroring passing, ie slow tempo/short passing, quick tempo/direct etc and in this game I have tried to incorporate a suggestion of tempo/time wasting and passing are mirrored. I have also tried linking that with the creativity slider.
So I have tempo/timewasting/passing/creativity/width
all identical on the slider.
And Mentality/Closing Down and Defensive Line are also identical on the slider.
I find that I play some great football and because the sliders are mirrored for everyone the team seems to work well as a unit. My big problem first season was though despite only conceding more than one goal on a handful of occasions I drew 16 games and didn't score enough.
So I'm am interested on others thoughts on mirroring sliders or is it a better approach having individual slider settings for individual positions like the old Rule of One/Two which was for example. Mentality GK Two Clicks, Full Backs 6 Clicks, Centre Backs 4 Clicks and so on, if you get my drift?
Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Is matching up various sliders inportant in a tactic? Post #2
Re: Is matching up various sliders inportant in a tactic?
I set the sliders individually for players based on their stats so they can perform to their best. My team instructions also changes almost every match
for its optimum performance. I am using man utd and i am unbeaten in 20 games in all competition (got some draws though). for example, i play evra at left back with zonal marking and attacking minded with forward runs and run with ball, but if i use o'shea at left back, it is totally different with a man mark, normal minded, forward runs and run with ball to mixed or rarely.
Therefore, to allow your team to perform to its best, its is good to change your tactics sliders every match even though it takes some time, but the results are fruitful.
