I'm currently playing an online game but i wasn't the game starter or the server leader if that makes sense.

So, basically, i don't have the saved game file as only the main person in the game has it. I think. Does that mean that (3 and a half seasons into our game) i will not be able to use FM Genie Scout to uncover potential stars? Or is there a way around this?

Lol, i don't really want to be dragged into this but i don't consider using FM Genie scout cheating.

I just need the upper hand over my mate, when i've beaten him i wouldn't mind telling him

It would be hard to understand how any form of "cheating " would be allowed in an online game unless all parties are doing it. If you dont have the actual save game on your hard drive, then you cant use Genie Scout

I play FMO nonstop and its a ball ache if you find out people are cheating, single games fair play, but FMO imo is slighty different.
I've so many clans and games go down the pan due to cheating.

It's just a friendly game between me and my friend. It isn't a serious competition or anything and i don't consider it cheating, just utilising extra resources. I wouldn't mind if my friend was doing it, in fact he probably is, and like i said i intend to tell him once i've beaten him if i do use it.
