Or at least on my Villa save he was - top assists (ahead of Petrov) with Arsenal and Tottenham among his suitors (as well as Newcastle and Wigan iirc).

I don't get all the hype about Steven Davies, he doesn't seem as great as people are making him out to be.

DR Cicinho / Diego Troiano (class regen snagged him off r. madrid for 9.75m release clause and worth every penny)

DC Vincent Kompany (immense as always, took him a couple of seasons tho) / Tom Lees (regen, originally got him from leads for free, then sold to liverpool for 7.5m then decided to buy him back for 4m as he was unsettled, has the potential to be better than kompany)

DC Nacho Marelli (argentine regen, bought for 1m and now worth 18m and a real hero, gets about 12 goals a season from heading in corners on the near post too ) / Gary Cahill (always performs well above his stats but i don't play him much)

DL Gonzalo Pineda / Barry

MR Eduardo Ratinho (awesome gets a ton of goals and assists) / Fernando Beluschi (good but not my preferred choice as ratinho is class)

MC Anderson (immense quality player, got him from barca for 3m as they never played him, worth 28m now) / Kaka (yep, paid 29m for him from milan when he wanted a new challenge, signed him and he said he was keen to play for such an illustrious club can be great but unfortunately just broke his leg )

MC Matias Fernandez (my first time signing this guy and wow, 8 goals and 11 assists in 16 games) / Alfredo Andres (another argey regen, doesn't get in the team much but is class, chelsea and milan want him tho so will probly sell)

ML Andres Guardado (amazing as always) / Walker Viera Junior (brazilian regen, labelled the next arce lol)

ST Gonzalo Higuain (keeps winning the world player of the year and is pure class)

ST Carlos Vela (works awesome with higuain, they both score tons) / Josmer Altidore (bought for 100k in my first season, now worth 8.25m scores whenever he's on)

I think i'm in either my 5th or 6th season, the weirdest thing with this career was that it took me 4 years to get a merchandizing affiliate so my money was never that great, then i got 2 in 2 months and now my transfer budget is well over 100m.
