You could do with a striker who's good in the air - try Rolando Bianchi.

I still have Carew as an option. Plus I don't have much money left.

Got myself a US and Japanese feeder already. 4 million + a month coming in off that.

Might go out the champions league. Got Dortmand. So far 1-1 after the first leg with the away goal. Hopefully I can keep it together and make the groups.

Huddlestone got mom on his debut.

hi guys

I'm 12 games into season 4 with my villa team, won the EPL for the last 2 seasons have a very strong squad looking for some ideas. currently playing a 442 but considering mixing it up a bit. my team is:

GK Oscar Ustari

DR Cristian Zaccardo
DC Micah Richards
DC Wayne Bridge
DL Ashley Cole

MR Pedro Leon
MC Fernando Gago
MC Giovanni dos Santos
ML Freddy Adu

FC Cesar Delgado
FC Rafael Sobis

Also have Goran Pandev as backup for the midfield and Bojan and Moore as backup for the strikers but I've been rotating Sobis and Bojan to try and get Bojan scoring but he's fairly uninspiring right now.

I've been considering pushing dos Santos up to play just behind the front 2 as he's good in CM but I feel he could be better, I have no complaints with my defence really they're pretty solid and Micah Richards is amazing.

So far in the EPL this season we've played 12 won 11 with the 1 loss coming from a 90th minute Walcott goal away against Arsenal still we're topping the league and looking strong already, Delgado is a goal scoring machine for me.

If anyone has any ideas on where to improve or maybe to tweak my formation to get the most out of my team, let me know

Europes a bit easier than I thought. Now lets see if we can get me some silver.

Delfouneso is still quality. Been starting him in europe. He scored the winner against Benfica.

Osbourne has been amazing he is already putting McCann and Petrov out the first team. He's starting at the minute with Huddlestone injured.

Think I'll be kicking Mellberg out the side soon. He has been poor so far. Not sure whether to give his place to Cahill or see if I get money in January.

Just started a Villa game and bought Flamini of Arsenal and performance wise he has been one of the best players i have ever bought. Has anyone else had him?

Second season is over. Got a few positives out of it. Moore getting 35 goals and 3rd in striker of the year. Barry played great and came second in defender of the year despite not playing defence for me, he did for England. Osbourne really started to develop well this season.

Now for the cups. League cup and FA cup went poorly again going out early. Got through the champions league groups easily but drew Real Madrid. Went out 3-1.

The league was a bit on and off with form. Last day of the season we are in fourt. Playing West Ham. Only Everton can get ahead of us, they are playing Man U though. So I thought I'd got the win but no we draw 2-2 with a last minute goal being conceded. Oh well Everton can't beat Man U. Oh wait they do 5-2. I miss out by a point.

The biggest problem I had this season was lack of depth in the squad. Best example is Delfouneso a 16 year old playing in the first team for a a good 20 games due to injuries.

Hopefully I have that sorted out now. Current squad

GK: Foster/Taylor
DR: AVB/Richards
DL: Baines/Ridgewell
DC: Pique/Mellberg
DC: Richards/Cahill
MC: Macherano/Osbourne
MC: Davis/Huddlestone/Petrov
AMR: Young/Maloney/Agbonlahor
AML: Barry/Adu
FC: Moore/Carew
FC: Bent/Bojinov

With any luck we can get quite far in the UEFA Cup and we should make Champions League. Will have to see if we can go somewhere in the domestic cups.

Sold Foster and brought in Akinfeev.

Won 3 out of 3 in the league so far. This season I have to win something.

Just means they had a takeover and the new board decided to get rid of the link. All that link is for is a friendly each season so it isn't much of a lose.
