He's still in my reserve team at the moment, but he does look promising...

Just noticed he's touted as the next Phil Senderos in my game

Can't be bad then, i reckon i'll send him out on loan for a few months then give him a go in the 1st team see how he gets on. His attributes to me suggests he'd play better as a MC than a CB though.

I've used Bellon a few times. He always played well in the CL but never as well in the league.

He's great back up but if he could be first team I'm not so sure.

I'm still using much of original squad and so have Bouma, Laursen, Ridgewell and Hughes in my back 4.

Can anyone suggest best defensive tactics to use for early-days villa. (by the way, Mellberg not playing due to long term injury )

Thanks...
Try playing Cahill instead of Laursen as he always seems to be mistake prone to me. I would also try to bring in a better left back, Pocognoli has done brilliantly in the 1st season.

I presume you are playing Sorensen in goal? If so, swap him for Taylor - In my 1st season Sorensen conceded 23 in 19 games, whereas Taylor conceded just 12 from 17.

Hope this is helpful.

villain_1 i'll get an upload for you mate, as soon as i work out how.
huddlestone works better as a DM really don't know about there status but Didier Digard and Michel Schmoller are good buys for DC,DM

both bellons have great potential damien seens to be a constant performer for my reserves and a few decent 3month loan spells and yago seems an exciting player he is scoring a few for motherwell my feeder club

luca toni would still be a good signing at his age also carew always bangs them in the prem, or you could try fernando llorente but i don't know how he does in the prem, Adebayor can sometime be pciked up at a fair price if arsenal stick him in reserves

and as for the picture mate use a site like www.imageshack.us or www.tinypic.com

Hey guys, my scouts keep telling that Zat Knight should be a 'definite purchase'. His stats don't look brilliant.
Has anyone eny experience if signing him?

ok well here goes! I am not really a brilliant FM player but I have started as Aston Villa, asked for mor money, got 40m to spend.

Question is who do I look to buy and what tactic do I use? yeah I should look for players myself but it will be good to see who people recommend as well.

Thanks.
