I'm Real Madrid in season 2, i play a sort of 4-1-1-3-1 formation which the attacking part looks like this
---------------------Ruud
Robben-------------Riquelme-------------Robinho
-------------------Moutinho (sp)
I've bought Aguero who has played pretty well when i've used him, i'm also getting Anderson from Utd at the end of the season and Solado is looking like my Ruud replacement.
Riquelme and Ruud don't have much longer left in them so i was going to play Solado up front, I've tried Aguero in the Riquelme role but he doest perform as well as i've liked, Anderson will probably become my new Riquelme. Robben never seems to perform so i might have him as a sub but can Aguero play well as a winger either on the left or right wing (i have them rotating) i have both wingers high up the pitch and to become strikers when i have the ball so it turns into a sort of 3 up front.
Has anyone tried him in this sort of role cutting in from the left or the right? and is he any good at it or should i just rotate him as the striker or playmaker?
Use Aguero as striker. I don't know who this Solado (do you mean Soldado?) guy is, but Aguero is almost assuredly better than him. I'm sure Aguero will perform on the wing, but it's a shame to sacrifice his finishing prowess as he converts a higher percentage of chances than any other striker.
I think I’ll try him upfront when Ruud starts to get too old i just had doubts because he would be a lone striker and he's not very tall and can't head. I did mean Soldado who has performed pretty well in the Ruud role even scored a hat trick away to Barca for me, I’ll probably just keep him as a sub.
Yeah it'd be a bit of a waste to see him out on the wing but i can see where you're coming from about the loan striker business, however if you play a passing game and make sure you supply "to feet" or "run onto ball" he'll be fine on his tod
