First of all, let me apologise for any grammatical errors or such alike, I am not english so there's bound to be some errors in my writing. Second, even though I am a LLM noob, I've been clinging to CM ever since CM 3.
Right then, with that out of the way:
I visited "Frank" who wisely chose FC Volendam for me, currently playing in the first division in Holland. The board expects a top half finish and a quick look at the team seem to give that things are quite good for a noob LLM like me.
A goalkeeper with a physique like a sweaty welsh superstar (in the later stage of his career).
One (1) right defender in the entire squad.
Other than that, I have quite a good squad to choose from, decent staff, good finances and the wonderfully named "Veronica Stadium" to boot.
I'll return later with a few game updates, pre-season friendlies are about to begin. BTW, one of those friendlies are against....Arsenal! Should be good fun. :cool:
Good luck with Volendam. My Haarlem team seems to lose to your guys no matter what I do but managed to push you out of playoff position based on a better second period winning streak. Volendam went ont to miss the playoffs entirely while having the best goal difference and points of teams not in playoffs and finished the overall table 3 places higher than the last playoff team. If Holland didn't have the weird periods system, they would have qualified easily. :p

Veronica unfortunatly isn't named after some pretty girl or so but after a Dutch broadcast Organisation who are their sponsor. The station started out in the sixties as a :arrr: in the Northsea in the likes of radio Caroline. Rumours are the station is named after some piece of poetry by Annie MG Schmidt called "Het Schaap Veronica" (The Sheep Veronica) after originally have been named VRON (Vrije Radio Omroep Nederland - Free Dutch Radio Station)

Season update: I had about three wingers in the entire squad but an abundance of central midfielders that no-one wants apparently.

Brought in three freebies, one MR, one DL/ML with international merits and one striker.
I am in the beginning of October in game. Just been knocked out of the dutch cup against premier side RBC. Currently 13th placed in the league, having failed to score in my last three games. I hope my new striker will fix this.
