Squad prooved to be a bit too small as I occasionally had to field my second goalie on the main field.

Despite promotion expectations from board and supporters I did hang out most of the time around or in the relegation zone. By getting a good run of form the last few games I survived my last vote of confidence (the third :p) and we finished in a reasonalbe 7th place.

I signed every Bosmanned player my scouts found previous season and as a bonus I even got some nice youngsters promoted.

note: some of the signings I already regretted at the moment of their arrival

The board, knowing now my qualities, adjusted their expectations to mid-table.

Anyhow we continued the good form of last season but a poor midseason run and a lousy last 4 games meant we only finished 3rd, or just outside the promotion places.

Finances drifted again a bit further into the red.

Signed a new physio as my old one is planning his retirement at the end of the season.

Board expectations again mid-table

Somehow we were completely out of form the first half of the season despite having the same players who achieved last year the 3rd place.

Form improved occasionally in the second half which meant we picked up a few places in the table, ending the season in 5th place.

Board approval is swifting between very pleased and delighted

07/08

Managed to sign a striker from Primorje on a Bosman after hard and long negociations. He signed a contract meaning I was paying him way more in wages and other clauses then planned. Wanted to have a replacement for an old striker who's contract ran out.

Overpaid striker didn't dissapoint me though banging 2 goals in his very first game (first round of the cup, second round out) and getting in total 21 goals meaning: Second Division Top Goalscorer, Dravograd Record Goalscorer and Fan's Player of the Year. :cool:

Sold a few players (DC, GK and DL) for some needed cash and promoted my U-19 Goalie to first Goalie.

Overpaid striker's performance together with good performance of young Goalie took the team to a whopping first place, meaning: Champions and Promotion!. Small sidenote: Young Goalie already wants to leave club for another bigger club

Ass.man got poached to become manager to another team in the second divsion; promoted my coach to ass.man (tbh I think he might make a better ass.man then the one just left) and signed a new coach.

So now we have a hard season in First Division ahead of us, curious if we will survive. Still some cash left of the transfers and just received a whopping 5k television rights.

08/09 NK Dravograd - Guatamala

Aye. Giziar is going international. In a bit of a reckless move (:jordi: could have something to do with it) I applied for the Guatemala job around New Year (RL). About 10-12 months later (game time) I got the job. :cool:
Managed to survive the second phase of the WC-Qualifications on Goal Difference. Currenlty cannon-fodder in the third phase

Sold a few more players at Dravograd; couldn't persuade any decent player to join. Anyhow we survived the season ending in 7th place despite being very crappy after the winterbreak. Luckily a few clubs were even more crappier.

Overpaid striker scored another 10 goals and got yet again Fan's fav of the year title. Young supergoalie still wants to leave and doesn't want to re-new his contract.

Other highlights () of the season:
- Out in the second round of the club against a Div2 team who were 50-1 to win the game
- Lost the game against the wannabe champions 3-5 after being up 3-0 after 30 minutes
- U19 team managed to get champions of their division \o/

I'm assuming Slovenia as Dravograd sounds slavic.
