Dravograd is Slovenian 2nd division team. They are obscure as is our league. But the way SI made it it is way too easy. Giziar will agree with me, as we covered this topic in the hut, but maintenance bill is way to high for our country, there is no position money and board injections are surrealistic. TV rights money is about right though.

09/10 NK Dravograd - Guatemala

The third phase of the WC-Qualifications with Guatemala was a huge succes. We did however manage to win our last game to make it a 1-3-6

It was enough for the Guatemalan FA as they are pleased with me.

The season with Dravograd started with the coming of an ex-International Slovenian DC on a Bosman and the offloading of young supergoalie against a nice amount of cash as he left for Young Boys. Unloyal chap didn't want to renew his contract.

I was pleasantly suprised by the results of this season. Unfortunatly we missed the play-offs for the spots 1-6 out on GD (difference of 3) but managed to hold on to some sort of form and some good winnings saw us ending 7th. We did have more points then #6 Olimpija though

Backbone of this succes must have been our defense eventhough there were a lot of teams who conceded less. Replacement Goalie (who got 8 MoM's equalising the record set previous season by young supergoalie), Ex-International DC and Young DRC all got selected in the first division team of the year.

Cups did suck in the usual way as we were once again out in the second round.

Now having money (just over 1 mio in the black) after selling young super goalie I asked the board for some improvements here and there. Training facilities could use an upgrade and 98% of the stadium is occupied on average.

Young DRC also got Slovenian First Division Young Player of the Year. Predators are already circling around him though.

2010/11 NK Dravograd - Guatemala

Only played some meaningless friendlies with Guatemala. No clue why I haven't been invited for the North American Gold Cup. Could someone englighten me on that one?
Brazil won it btw.

Training facilities got upgraded. \o/
No stadium expansion /o\ And I could have used the extra money from the gate receipts

Before pre-season was over I got an offer for my young DRC from Litex (Bul). I made a ridiculous counter offer as I didn't want to lose him yet. To my complete suprise they accepted the counter offer and off he went for a new club record in transfer money. :cool:

Renewed the contract for my overpaid striker who got a bit older and was willing to add another year to a slightly lower wage. Last year he was slightly dissapointing though with only 4 goals. Resigned him for the good years before and the fact it is a nice chap. If I then would have known how many he would score this season I would have waved him goodbye .....
He scored a total number of 0 (ZERO!) goals :o

Enforcements were an experienced MR and a decent D/DM RLC. Total number of MR's in the team now: 4.

Season before the winterbreak was beyond expectations as we were constantly in places 4-6

In the winterbreak a new striker was added due to the (ahum) good scoring capacities of overpaid striker.
After the winterbreak it was completely different as the form collapsed more then completely shown by four 0-2 losses to start with. A win came just in time to secure us in the #1-6 play-offs.

We were totally rubbish to be honest. Playing 15 games (2-3-10) scoring a massive 5 goals

We ended the season in predictable 6th place, 18 points less then 7th place Mura and with even lower points then the #10

Got to the Quarter Final of the Cup, kicked out on aggregate (2-3) by Koper there.

My own prediction for next season: Relegation

I always seem to forget to add something; bring back the edit function!

Replacement Goalie was once selected in First Division Team of the Year as was my MC who got his 5th fans favourite player title. Did secure the services of a new promising young Goalie in the winterbreak for a whopping 60k as I don't know how long I can hold Replacement Goalie.
