How hard is it do handle first-team football??
Got this defender in St. Albans. He's been a first-teamer for me since the day I joined, which was 2 years ago.
He spent at least 21 months unhappy because he has trouble handling the pressure of first-team.
I mean, he is 21, and he's playing in a Conference South team, not Premiership. Shouldn't two years be enough for handling these stuff??
Also, his form is one of the best of the whole squad, so could it be a bug??

Well I am not surprised. The poor lad was probably only just 19 and you threw him straight into the first XI.
Didn't you check with his Mum that he was mature enough?
Does he carry his teddy bear to away games with him?
All these factors may be used to determine if he is mature enough for the rigours of first team football. Some players never make that giant step.
But in answer to your question "...could it be a bug?" Probably.

It does sound a little long for a player to be unhappy. I wouldn't read too much into that if it isn't the Premiership he wouldn't still be worried.
Take it to the bugs forum and see what happens. Make sure you search for this bug first, as it may have been addressed.

Nope, no Teddy bear...
I make my players take porn, guns and beer to away games. Perhaps a complete fagget??

Okay, time for a little ranting here...
Tried praising the guy's last performances.
Supporters completely agreed with me.
Pressed "continue".
Player injured for two months

I had a bug where a player stayed unhappy due to being played out of position for a game. On the bugs forum, Xerzes T Billy said the short-term workaround until the patch was to offer a new contract if possible to set the players happiness right. THis might work in your case as well.
