This is my first go at documenting an FM game on here, so please go easy on me! (I have read the headers that you seem to be very strict on!). Having played a fair bit of FM05 before now I decided it was time to try a new challenge, and feeling like a new challenge I decided I would head for somewhere I had never tried before. But where? With the countless leagues I had no idea where to start so I decided to leave it to the infinite wisdom of Frank. He chose Turkey as the country, 2nd Division Category B Group B, and the club...

KDC Karabukspor

I was expecting the worst when Frank came out with this combination but to my pleasant surprise it seemed a pretty good setup. Granted I am in the lowest (playable) league in Turkey but I have good facilities, a 10,000 capacity stadium and £2.6m in the bank! The board and fans expect a respectable league position this year and with a transfer budget of £435k and being £9k under the wage budget I am confident of achieving that.

I have a squad of 29 players to choose from and they seem ok although the goalkeeper is by far the most valuable. I have noone who can play on the left wing and a general lack of cover so I will have to raid the transfer market. The only problem is that I can only have Turkish players, no foreigners are allowed! I bring in about 10 freebies and pay for a couple as well as selling a few I dont need, leaving me ever so slightly over budget.

The season started ok with back to back home wins, will update at midseason or the end depending how long it takes!

Turkish lower league is fun especially as you're only allowed to sign Turkish players until you finally get into the top division. I'm gonna start a game with Y. Bosnaspor soon I hope .

Hope you get far mate good luck and welcome.

The new year sees us in second place, level on points with 1st but seperated only by the result against the team above (tht its the first way they use to seperate teams after points). Playing well scoring from all over the park including 30 yard screamers from my DCs! I have another striker coming in who should privide that extra firepower I need to really push for the one promotion place. Might have a look to see whats around in other positions to, but I am not desperate to add to the squad. Backup players are starting to get annoyed at not playing and some have started skipping training so they will probably be leaving.

Already out of the cup after losing in the first round at home on pens to a Premier league team, nevermind eh. Only 17 games to go!

Yes I'm a good boy! Why does the Turkish league need a six week winter break though?! It cant be because of the frozen pitches!
