I have personally found my first season to be the hardest as I try to implement my way of playing and bring in the players I want at the club.

Scouts seem to find theplayers they deem to be at the level of your club and as most people in this forum will concede are indeed crap!

Good luck with your challenge but don't mention player or scout names, that activity is generally frowned upon!

mine is the opposite, 1st season is harder than 2nd but 3rd is when you really know if your a good manager or not.

1st season is setting up to play your way
2nd season gets your team settled
3rd season sees if you can sustain that level

IMO, each season is different. Simply as that. Not that the 1st will be always harder or easier.

Don't forget you were not the only team to hire, and the relegated teams could (should??) be better than those who were promoted??
