Default The Scottish Revolution

When you get the call, you have to answer.
Such was the case when FRANK told me i must go to the lowest league in Scotland, take a rag-tag bunch of misfits and teach them the art of playing the scottish game. One day, maybe not now but soon these boys will form a force that will rival the Old Firm's iron grip on the scottish game. When that day comes the team that everyone will cheer will ber Cowdenbeath!
Follow the ups & downs, the giant killings & the 40yrs old team bus breaking down the way to a cup match.
One day you will all know the name of the Blue Brazil

I see you have watched a game or two in the Scottish Leagues. (Even our top two teams play that way.No wonder we're crap in European games.)

With the start of the season 2 days away,a few reporters from the local papers came by to get the latest info on the Blue Brazil and what the new managers reaction to the pre-season games were.
" I think the lads here have gone out with a point to prove in these last 4 games.Nobody wants to be replaced in the squad, and eveyone wants to show why they should be playing for this club.I think the results of our pre-season games shows the positive and also a few wee negatives in our set up,with the draw against Motherwell setting the tone for the start of this season.
I know some of the papers have been saying it's only friendly matches, and you can't judge a team by these games, but nobody likes to lose any game, that includes friendly matches."

When asked about the players and staff that he has brought in, Joseph Berwick replied,
" I think that the squad of players we had was good, but it's always a little better when you have competition for places.I'm sure that by bringing in these 3 players it's going to add a bit of steel to the team, which i belive is whats been missing over past seasons. Also my new coaching team is going to give the guys a fresh approach to the game,i think over that past few seasons that the training sessions have been getting stale,so this will i hope add that extra bit of zip on the park"
When asked how his team will do this season he replied, " I belive we'll be in the top half of the table, but if the team give 100% every game then we may go that wee bit extra. Come and see me at the end of the season"
With a glint in his eye, this new manager looks like he means business. Can this team of part time postmen, office workers & firemen mount a serious challenge this season? If you judge them on pre-season performances then yes.
Let's see where they are come the end of the season.

Well it halfway time in season 1 and what started as a promising season has slowly given way to a complete breakdown of the Blue Brazil.
4th form bottom and 23points behind the top of the table it's not looking good for my boys. I tried to use the iron-man football team approach of having a small squad (less than 20 players),to keep the wage bill as low as possible. Due to injury half my team is now selected from the reserves,so alot of players being brought into the game too soon. Still the 2nd half of the season may bring a few surprise young players out of thier shells,we'll have to wait and see.
End of season update to follow soon.
