Yes, youngsters don't come out when you have Good facilities anymore. Playing fourth season of my Slovenian game and got exactly 0 players from my youth selections.

Im my current save I've got good facilities and have had 3 youth players turn pro at 17, these were players who just appeared at that point. All my U20's were greys until then.

I'm managing Bradford PA and my scouts only alert me to homegrown talent anyway. The only loanees that come live close enough to be home for tea. For a LL side I don't think it's too restricting at all providing you have a large enough database.

You find me a team (certainly in the UK) that consists of homegrown players only. Not only are you making things hard for yourself but it is far from realistic.

You must be just unlucky.
Started also in Slovenia Div2 with good facilities and have got around 10-15 youngsters in 4 seasons. Curious if I will get any more since facilties have dropped to adequate.

I get 4-6 every season in Romania with adequate facilities.

I dont have a reserve or youth team mind so its not much use but I do get them.

Idea dropped, would probably be too hard anyway...

St. Albans accepted my application after their manager took the Exeter job.

Will try to update in here, if possible...

2004/2005 - St. Albans - Conference South

Okay. Up to the half of the season, I didn't sign a single soul to join us, which led St. Albans to a comfortable, but useless, 12th position.

By the start of January, checked out finances, and decided to bring in some promising players who could join first team immediately.

As we were far from our generous $18k/m wage budget, brought in an assistant, a decent coach and a couple of scouts. By middle February, spent some $10k on players scouted: three midfielders and one striker.

That took us to a push for a play-off spot, and until the last round we were up for it, having finished the League in 8th place.

Cup performance was anything near ridiculous, having lost in both FA Cup and FA Trophy to non-league (by that I mean under the Conf N/S) clubs.

Manged to free some of the dead wood that was around here and rejected some offers from italian teams.

My only concern is that the team seems to miss a little back-up for the new season, as squad is composed of only 19 players.

The Celtic team that won the European Cup in 1967 were all born within 20 miles of parkhead IIRC
