I'm managing a Colombian side, who I have taken from second divsion, to first and onto Copa Libertadores success. I now want to move on to a bigger club. My problem is this:
I have two good young players (CB and CM) who I will want to sign to any new club I move to. Currently both have
really low wages, fairly low buy out clauses compared to their true value and a reasonable length on their contract. Clearly I can take advantage of this situation when trying to sign them, but this would mean completely f***ing over my current club for their best two players.
So, do I give them new contracts and protect my current club, or do I leave them as they are and take advantage?
On a side issue has anyone had success in applying for jobs? I've applied for several in Brazil and not been offered one, despite the jobs then going to far less qualified managers.
