Update- From Jockland to Belfast and back again (in a hurry)
SInce its been interesting I thought I'd post a brief update of my current save:
04/05 Cowdenbeath, Scots Div III : Board wanted mid table, fans wanted a rebuild. I wanted whatever I could get. Finished 1 point off of promotion, and 4th after goal differential was figured.
05/06 Cowdenbeath, Scots Div III: Board wanted respectable league position, fans wanted mid-table, I wanted out of this trainwreck of a division. 300 fans a match was not the way to build for the future. It didn't happen. Finished 3rd 2 points off promotion.
06/07 Cowdenbeath, Scots Div III: Expectations unchanged for me, fans and board. Results changed however, and we finally won the Div. 3 title. on the last day of the season.
07/08 Cowdenbeath, Scots Div II: Media and fans saw us as relegation battlers. Board wanted us to stay clear. Relegation? Div 2 didnt look any stronger than Div 3 except at the top. We did this season in style, winning the 2 Div title in a tight race.
08/09 Cowdenbeath, Div I: This was a much rougher go. Fans, board, media and myself expected a tough battle to avoid the drop. It was. But we managed to finish 7th and steer clear. I started to realize though, that with the wage situation and income level of the club there was no way to get any better (at least by my crap skills).
09/10 Cowdenbeath Scots Div. I: Relegation is the mood all around. Ten games in, I decide I've done all I can, and bugger off the Brantwood in the N.I. 2nd Div.
09/10 Brantwood N.I. Div 2: Invest and rebuild is the order of the day, and I do, taking over a team at the bottom of the league, and finishing a respectable 5th. Everyone is happy, and I look set to have a bright future in Belfast. Then Livi comes knocking. I cant pass it up and in the summer make the move back to jockland.
10/11 Livingston, Div 3: This is one hurting team, having fallen very far from grace and glory. Unhappy players, finances in shambles. The board lied when they told me about the money. The massive bank loan alone will kill any chance of climbing out of the hole. Still, for all that, the quality of the side and who I can attract allows me to finish 2nd and get promotion.
11/12 Livi, Scots Div 2: expectations are to win promotion all around. I see it as probable but tough due to the hosed finances. I tire quickly of it and take the Airdrie job in Div 2 as soon as it comes about, about 5 games into the season.
11/12 Airdrie United, Scots Div 2.: A much more hopeful situation financially, I am able to bring enough to win get clear of all pursuers for the title 2/3 in. Then Dundee comes calling. Flailing about at the bottom of the SPL, with no chance of avoiding the drop, I decide I want to go to a club that has a rep and money enough to attract quality. See ya New Broomfield.
11/12 Dundee, SPL: As expected I couldnt avoid the drop with just a dozen games remaining and too much ground to make up, but over the summer am able to shore up the wage bill and bring in some good quality. Incidentall, Airdrie went into a tail spin after I left and remained stuck in Div 2. COwdenbeath also returned to LL obscurity.
12/13 Dundee, Scots Div I: With a decent money situation, and a strong side we roar through the Div I season. A runnig battle with Falkirk, however, leaves our fate in doubt until the last 2 games of the season where we secure promotion.
13/14 Dundee, SPL: Everyone expects relegation. Not me. We turn all the pundits on their heads by finishing 2nd. Celtic stormed to the title and our 2nd place finish never saw us threaten the winners- they were some 20 points clear of the rest. Rangers collapsed and finished 7th despite being either 1 or 2 since 04/05! Europe here we come!.
14/15: This season is still in progress. Expectations are respectable finish, though media tabs us as outside favorites for the title (yeah right, Celtic are monsters yet again). Europe is frightening. After beatin Basel in Champions league qualifying round, we get a group of (gulp!) Chelsea, FC Bayern and Panathanaikos. ITs brutally ugly. With one gae to go in our group, I have yet to win and only scored 1. This includes a 5-0 beating from CHelsea at Stamford Bridge which wrecked morale for 2 weeks. We sit 5th in the SPL with 1/2 the season to go . . .
Stay tuned

It bounced up and down a bit, comfortably at 10. Because I was so long at Cowdenbeath and turned down a few jobs it was pretty high at one point. It ought to be about 2 I reckon

Thanks for kind words, got another season to do. BTW, this save has been on for about 2 months, I just got around to writing it up
Season 14/15 Sheffield Utd, Champ. con't:
Did it again, I did. Halfway through the season, Sheffield Utd. came calling and I buggered off to Poofland. Couldn't resist the reputation, finances etc. Club was in shambles, however. Sitting 23rd in Championship, morale in the toilet, half the side wanting out. Cleared out most of the whingers, and got some decent form going. Not enough to escape the drop however. As when I took over Dundee, the gap was too large and the side too discouraged. Board was still happy that the team showed spirit. A whole new rash of signings over the summer, and expectations to win League 1 title. We shall see . . .
