My first impression of FM08... unable to find a way of putting it in windowed mode on my widescreen. Pretty poor for a game which so many people play in windowed, and when so many people own widescreen monitors/TV's.

If I've overlooked something obvious, please let me know.

Thats how i am using Windowed Mode.

this is a pretty old remedy

go to the shortcut on your desktop, right click and go to properties. then make sure your target line reads as such

"CProgram Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2008 Gold Demo\fm.exe" --small_screen --windowed

Add that to your target line. :thup:

You can change it in the preferences in display & sound if your monitor supports the resolution.

erm, i'm playing in window mode now with a widescreen monitor and it's fine as far as i'm aware

So what resolution does FM run in?

You can make FM run in any resolution

ie alter your target in your FM shortcut to be

"CProgram Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2008 Gold Demo\fm.exe" -fullscreen_height=800 -fullscreen_width=1280 -small_screen

That will handle full screen res of 1280x800 and windowed mode will work if turned on.

If you run in windowed mode you can just resize it normally.
