Yesterday I finally took the time and downloaded the try&buy version for Mac.
You guys converted me finally.
I always opted for the CM series the past two years since I´m back to football managment because it was so more accessible to a Sunday League footballer like me.
FM2007 literally sits new-in-box on my shelf because I never got the hang of it navigating through all the information to get some useful information I could understand and interpret well.
I don´t think FM 2008 became easier but a lot more understandable. I even can´t name the tweaks what you´ve done to achieve this, but the feeling of pick-up-and-play is definitly there and the game gives me good feedback now over my squad wihtout looking at and comparing too much between tons of numbers.
Maybe all this was possible before and I just missed it, but anyway thanks for all the hours of fun to come.

\o/ You're welcome, although I'm probably nothing to do with said conversion.
You're right though, about FM08 being more understandable. The manual is the clearest CM/FM I've read, especially the tactics section, detailing the options - I now know what the sliders mean!
