So I'm playing in Spain with Barca. My next fixture is relatively easy against a bankrupt Getafe at home. We start the match and all is going well except that I start to notice that my players are being fouled all over the place and the ref is doing nothing about it and when he does blow the whistle he usually gives a quick talk or some minor warning, not a single card. A bit later I start noticing rougher and rougher fouls and eventually one of my players gets injured. Once again the ref does nothing. So quickly I go into the opposition instructions and tell all my players to hard tackle every opposing player (even the GK) every time. Time for some sweet revenge! Well what do you know, my players go into full rage mode as I start seeing commentary about crazy tackles and the ref stays silent . I manage to injure two of their players and they finish the match with one less man and a victory for me.

Sounds bad. Could be a bug. Check on other fixtures in your league AI vs AI and see if the same happens there. If it does you should mention it in the bugs forum.

canvey, why is that a bug?

If the ref isn't calling much of anything, I kick my players up to "Hard", too, and take great glee in some of the bodies flying around.

If the ref has a reputation for handing out cards at the slightest offense (Mister Styles, I'm looking at you!) I play with "Easy" tackling, and laugh my way to the bank when the AI gets somebody sent off.

I don't think it's a bug either, but I have recently been on a run of matches with some pretty lenient refs, so the tackles have been quite atrocious from my end lately
