On the last game it always seemed to be disaterous for moral.

Anyone been brave enough to try it on this game? Does it have any positive effects this time?

Use it when youre in a bad run of games and you win. Doesn't work when youre winning games, because the players are playing like "this" every week anyway.

tried it a couple of times, first time i upset every man and his dog so decided against it, until i hit a bad patch of form. went 6-7 games drawing or losing then ended up winning 4-0 at portsmouth, so decided to use it again. nobody complained, and it marked a turn around in form too... guess it depends on the circumstances...

I always let my Ass Man do teams talks and does a good job.

Except at at Full Time he slips up every few games. He likes to say "Why Can't You Play Like This Every Match?" two games in a row, which is very bad!

my ass man [sic] has motivating 20, man management 20, and i'm at real madrid in my 5th season. he uses this 'why can't you...' very frequently and i'm pretty much romping everything.

get a decent ass man [sic] and let him do the talks; saves you worrying about it. this works at smaller clubs as well.

team talks in general are very insignificant for me.

what is more disastrous for moral is simply losing games

I (like many others) let the asst do talks and I find in FM08 he uses this a hell of a lot.

It seems to work too- even if youve won the last game but not convincingly.
