Default silly settings

I have recently bought a new laptop and after installing fm i am now lookin to run it in windowed mode however after copy and pasting the code thing i then open fm untick full screen and it says make sure my settings are correct or something just wandering what i can do to sort this out?
and if possible running me through the correct steps would be helpful please?

p.s sorry if this is the wrong area, wasnt sure where to post

Edit the Properties of your desktop shortcut.

Change Target to:

"CProgram Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2008\fm.exe" -windowed -small_screen

Have you got your screen on the correct resolution.

If not try right-clicking on desktop and going on Properties. Then go on settings and reduce or higher your screen resolution.
