Default Mental slip?

According to the game, it says that older pleyers their mental stats improve due to their experience. But reality isn't like that. Maldini, Inzaghi,... My first season isn't not yet over and their brains are shrinking. Completly unrealistic. I have to use the real-time editor to get it right.

Why should Maldini lose any influence? he should gain over the years.

I would like that SI fixes the ****ed up ME first, but this is also important

It annoys me technical and Mental stats deteriorate instead of just physical.

I also don't think strength should drop as much as it does either

I can understand dropping of physical stats, also i can understand ,although its a bit harder, of technical stats. But why mental? Don't you "get smarter by the years"?

Definitely. Look at Berbatov for example. 2 years ago he thinks joining Spurs would be a good thing. Now he is older and wiser he realises what an awful life ruining decision he has made ;-)

The comment from the game you are referring to is related to young players gaining mental attributes as they grow older. At some point, just like the other attributes, these plateau off and then drop as the player gets older.

It just means that a 15 year old with really crappy mental attributes will take time before he increases them through playing experience.

I agree that certain attributes shouldn't deteriorate that much as the player gets older, but mebee as your playing abilities lessen so your team-mates will consider you less influential.

Totally agree with glamdring here. Most of the mental attributes like positioning, anticipation and decisions should not decline.
