Default not running full screen?

I tried unclicking the "full screen" option so I can read these forums and have fm running at the same time, but every time I click confirm i get this message. "Changing the screen settings failed. Make sure your system supports the settings." Any ideas guys? I know my comp is more than good enough to do anything this game requires. As a side note, this happened with fm2007 also
