Is it for the duration of the season the player was sold, or the duration of the player's contract? I can't fit one in for my current pre-season as I've already arranged a few friendlies, but don't want to miss out.

It does state a date doesn't it? I think it says "Have to accept a friendly with Team X before June 2009" for example.

Meaning if they ask to play you before the date, you have to accept. Once the date passes, it doesn't count anymore.

If you set it up so that your assistant arranges friendlies, then you won't need to worry about it anyway

I get this sometimes, agree to it, but I've never actually bothered arranging the friendly or suffered because of it.

Not sure if the ass man has arranged my Ressies to play them at some point though. I guess that might count.

In older versions I'm sure it used to automatically arrange the friendly, or the other team would arrange it.

I know this because the friendly was always arranged a day after or before one that I've arranged.

I haven't used that clause on 08 so I wouldn't know.

I get my assistant sort out the friendlies and then cancel or add any that I need to after that.

If you don't arrange it the reserves play against them, so I wouldn't worry.

Clubs have negotiated that clause when I brought several players, however not once have I played them in a friendly?!! Happened on more than 5 occassions.
