You may be happy to know that Football Manager 2008 has ranked number 7 in GameBorder's top 10 chart of Best PC Games of 2007, as you can see here:

God, i hate it when people call it a soccer game. Its bloody football not soccer!

It's either or, actually. And you'll find that "Soccer" is in common parlance in England too. Hence "World Soccer" magazine, or "Soccer AM". Also, the name soccer comes from Association Football (the proper name for football). The "soccer" name deriving from "asSOCiation".

I know what you're saying is true, but it winds me up when used in "World Soccer" or "Soccer AM" too.

Although strangely, not in "Sensible Soccer".
