Although it's not always the case - Strikers tend to be big, strong target men. Forwards tend to be smaller, more mobile, more creative players.
Striker = Alan Shearer
Forward = Robbie Keane
A forward is more of a tall, good header, a target man in the box for crosses and such. A striker has more pace acceleration and that type. My understanding anyways.

I don't think your right about a forward being tall because Rooney is a forward in the game and he isn't really tall or good at heading as well as others such as tevez.

We're just generalising here. Strikers play central. Fox in the box, if you like. Forwards roam more.
I beleive forward are slightly more creative at setting things up, and strikers tend to be the ones who finish things off. Most of the time though there are only slight differences between both.
I think that the important question is: will a ST play different than a FC with same individual settings? If not, why some players are called ST and others FC in FM2008?
