I know there are plenty of explanations of how to change the attribute colours and I have read them all.
I have also changed them before but have just re-installed windows and come to do this again and just cant do it.

I am using the the metallic 2006 skin so not a fancy skin and there is no settings folder in the skin directory.

I have gone to the data/settings folder and gone into the fm colours.xml file using wordpad.
I changed the attribute colours.
I saved the file as all files and then fm colours replacing the .xml file with the modified one.
Loaded FM06 and gone to my saved game, nothing has changed on the player attributes screen......

Why? I cant see what i have done wrong. If anyone can help me i would appreciate it. This is the altered attribute part of the fm colours.xml file. Have i done something wrong?

have you tried turning off the skin cache?
