I checked my preferences and made sure that the EDT file which I saved as 'extraplayers.edt' was ticked but then when I start a new game a lot of the Brazil and Argentina players are still not there such as Evandro Roncatto and Sebastien Saja. Cinderford (My local non league side) have no players in their squad at all, although I know they exist in the database.
I've started a new game if anyone was thinking I was really stupid.
Can anyone spot a problem with what I've done here?
If I have perhaps spelt a team wrong, perhaps for example 'Cinderford' should be 'Cinderford Town' would this then make the EDT file not work at all?
Okay I'll try and save it as a DDT file but I did try this already and it did not seem to make a difference, that was my first attempt though so maybe I did something else wrong.
I'm not sure if you do need to use the club ID's though, in the example of the official help with EDT and DDT files the example they give uses team names like I have done. I'll try both methods.
I am no expert at this but this is what I have done, I have used the ddt generator I downloaded for fm2006 and made a ddt file with all the teams I wanted included in my fm2007 game so all the players were in the game and put it in the db file. This worked really well and I have all the players I wanted.
The only thing I did come across was that if I used the editor and created a new database the ddt files didn't appear in the new game, they only appear if I used the default database in the new game. Though maybe me doing something wrong.

I am still using the original database so this should not be an issue, do you know where the DDT file generator can be downloaded?
