looks like the right side of the render has been lightly smudged, and the sharpened.
also some brushing, and more sharpening by the looks of things. also some lighting effects coming from the right

c4d is a piece of software that gives you the ability to make 3d work, it's hard to do - i am guessing Ibo did the base of the effects in c4d and did the rest in photoshop
