Hey guys.

I have been trying to edit the French leagues with my own custom teams, but I am having problems with the Coupe de la Ligue crashing, due to lack of teams.

I have tried searching for rules on how this competition is set up, but I have been unsuccessful, so I hope someone here would know.

The first round of the cup has 5 teams from ligue 2, and 5 from the national division. Six of these are the 3 promoted, and 3 relegated clubs, as well as the teams who finished 16th and 17th in the ligue 2, but the problems arise from the other 2 national teams, that doesn't seem to be based on league positioning, as they were 4th and 7th the prior season.

Does anyone know why a team in 7th place would get priority over the teams in 5th and 7th? I have tried searching but cant find any info about this.

i managed to edit the original 5 of the national teams, and it worked for the first season, but the second season the three relegated clubs represented the nationals in the first round, but I have no idea why the other two were not present. This leads to the cup being short of two teams by the fourth round, and occurs into a crash dump.

Any ideas or knowledge regarding this matter would be appreciated.

I don't want to have to start editing from scratch by editing over the french clubs, instead of swapping them

Only professional teams can play in the League Cup.

I didn't think to look at the clubs status and indeed the status for the 5th and 6th placed clubs is semi-professional.

What is the lowest the reputation should be set for a club to be considered professional in the game?

I set all my National replaced clubs at 3000, but on inspection of the original database, the lowest professional team in the National that qualified is 4000?

Could this be my problem?

I am not 100% sure, but maybe you have to set the teams you want to qualify as professional and the rest as semi-professional?(it's the option either one above or one below team reputation)

Thanks, but everything I have tried seems to have failed. I copied my customs teams status and reputation to match the position of the french clubs from the official database, but still come the 2nd season, the 1st round cup draw is 2 3rd division teams short, and crashing on the date of the third round draw.
