I have tried sometimes playing short passing and a short tempo to keep hold of the ball. So i watch the 2d match and what happens long ball after long ball. I mean WTF!!!!!!! I havnt got a target man but they stil decide to lump it up field, anyone any help on this because the game is really startin to pee me off???
What are your creative freedom settings? If CF is high, a player will attempt a long pass if he thinks there is a scoring opportunity there, despite the passing setting.
Are there any available passing options? No point passing it short in the back line if the nearest players are marked, is there?
Try increasing the tempo and passing by one notch, and see if it works. Then maybe another notch until you get to around 8 notches from the left. You can still play what appears to be quite a slow and deliberate game at these levels.
You may also want to try dropping the def. line or widen the width to give you more space.
AdZV,you want to keep possesion so keep you passing to short,tempo on slow and decrease mentality for your players,it should be between 6 and 10.Try it and you'll see the difference
