Just to see which is the most popular and successful approach to the game?
Do you:
1. Like to have a particular tactic for the whole season which you stick with
2. Have a range of tactics (e.g a home and away) and alternate them throughout the season
3. Play with global team settings and just a few select individual settings
4. Prefer to set up each players settings individually and treat them as an individual
5. Look at scout reports and stats etc then set up an initial approach to the game and tweakk in game
6. Download the best looking tactic around and play it
Also lets see some evidence of your success!
I personally use option 5 mostly. This has brought me success in the Serie A with AC Milan going the season unbeaten and winning the champions league also unbeaten.
I did go with 1) and 5) for my first two seasons but noticed in the middle of season 2 that my strikers were becoming isolated when playing against poorer teams so now I have a set of 5 or 6 different ones that I use when my gut tells me to
Usually what I do when I get start a new game or indeed switch teams is that I take time to decide what formation I'm going to play and then design the team around it. With Liverpool I played 4-2-3-1 but then when I started a new game with Dundee Utd I played 4-4-2 and then with Harrogate I played 3-5-2. It simply depends on what team I have. However I don't change formations during the season, only during the summer if I do actually change. I just have diffrent variarties of the same formation.
For instance with Liverpool to make it more defensive I had short arrows on wingers and a barrow on the AMC. To make it more attacking I'd have long arrows on wingers.
