Tactics & Training Tips

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default Question regarding Passing Slider.

As I understand it, all the sliders except team mentality in FM go 1-20 from left to right. This means that 20 on the Passing Slider is long ball. As a long ball game to me is very similar to kick and rush I would have thought that the Passing slider would go from right to left ie 0/1=Long and 20=Short.

Can anyone tell me what is the correct way to read the Passing Slider?.

So by that token it would mean that a player with 20 in his passing stats is a long ball merchant and a player with 1 for passing is the new David Beckham!!!!?.

The passing slider does not represent the players style of passing. The players stats passing 20 means that the player is a very good passer of the ball. The style of passing short and long is just the style of passing you can set for your player even if your player sucks at passing. It is just the style, a player with passing 20 will be good at passing long and short balls, while a player with low passing will suck at either of the passing.
