Hi,

I just finished my first season as Liverpool and I did really bad: Won Carling Cup, became 6th in league and Arsenal won me in UEFA CL quarter finals. I started very well, 9 wins out of 10 games, but then started downfall. Here is my team ATM:
GKs: P.Reina, V.Eneayama, C.Itandje
DEFs: J.A.Riise, F.Aurelio ; J.Carragher, S.Hyypiä, D.Agger, A.Arbeloa ; S.Finnan
MFs: Vicente, S.Leto ; S.Gerrard, X.Alonso, J.Mascherano, Lucas, Y.Benayoun ; J.Pennant, R.Babel
FWs: F.Torres, D.Kuyt, A.Voronin, A.Pato

Who should I sell, who buy and what tactic should I use? I'm thinking of selling Voronin and buying some good target man like Pazzini or Iaquinta. ATM I got 6 mil of bodget but probably Ill get extra funds soon. Any thoughs?

Defence:
Sell Arbeloa. He's terrible. Hopefully, you'll get 1.5-2M for him. Put in a little more and get another RB. Look at Ratinho. Excellent player. Another CB might be a good idea as well. 3 is not enough.

Midfield:
No clue abotu Leto. He starts out with ok stats but dont know how he devlops in the game. If you get a good offer for him, let him go. Also, you dont really need 3 DM's do you. Alonso and Mascherano are quality. Wont recommend keeping Lucas in that case. Also, Benayoun and Pennant are just average. Pennant has a big salary as well. Keep Babel. He' good.

Forwards:
You didnt sell Crouch did you?? If you did, big mistake. Yeah sell Voronin but only at a decent price. Dont just give him away. But make sure you get another striker. Iaquinta would be brilliant but he's expensive.

Check in you reserves. Is Cisse still there? If so, get him out of there as he's pretty good. He scores quite a few and is good back-up for you for Torres and Kuyt. Fowler can do a job as well at times. Also see if there are any players in there you can offload. Is Sinama Pongolle still there? If so, sell him. He should fetch you 2-3M.

If you only have 6M then you'll need to sell some players to get adequate money to buy players. If you get big offers for any of Gerrard, Vicente, Alonso, Torres etc, I'd take them into consideration tbh. Although they are all quality, you might be better off selling one of those big guns and then being able to afford players for other positions. You definitely need to sort your defence out. Check in the Chelsea, Man Utd and especially Arsenal reserves. You might be able to pick up some real quality signings from there for cheap. Eg: at Arsenal, look at Senderos, Djourou, Vela, Bendtner. Chelsea let Mikel go pretty cheap many times. Man Utd, in my game, had both Ryan Giggs AND Paul Scholes in the reserve team. See if you can pick them up cheap. They might help you for another couple of years. Also, look at the transfer listed players and espcially the ones whose contract is near expiry. I've picked up some good ones there. I got Alex, Nakamura (he's good in the game!), Drenthe for free. Also Hildebrand (sp?). Dont be too averse to getting older players for a year because they'll provide you back-up in case you need it.

i sold crouch because im not a fan of him at all irl and on the game. Voronin has been amazing 2nd season, i almost sold him but i decided against it and its payed off.
Kaka is an absolute must in central att mid hes my top scorer sofar in the season with 19 goals about 27 games played, his asts are very high aswel not sure how many he has though, i payed 36mil for him and i think thats a bargin! sign him.

My team is playing so well its like theyve been together for 10years ive never had this before in a game we just hammer teams.

kaka is the main reason to my success though nobody can control him at all, hes unplayable! moutinho is an awesome backup for him aswel, i sometimes fit him into centre mid aswel though.

just keep your team together tell them thwey can win games and give them a good look for this game... just keep them happy and youl improve fast.

1 thing i will tell you is that the defence although it is irl the defence isnt that good on the game, id keep agger but replace carragher and your right back.

On my point of view.
Defence:
weak.get finnan out of the way and get 2 RBs,one for now and another for the future.U r ok wiv LBs.Leave Hyypia out of the 1st team,though he has high stats but his is way too slow to win a place as a regular.(u might not be able to sell him 2 anyone though)Get another young and quick CB to rotate between the other 2(likes of Richards,Corluka...etc)

Midfield:
Leto use as backup,since he is young he wud not complain even if u dun use him.And i wud not agree with Hulk on the 3 DMs,i'd keep them cuz all three can play multi-positions.Kick Benayoun and Pennant out of the team and sign MR or AMC,u can use Gerrard as a MR,u wud definatly need someone of his quality on the field no matter where u put him.If u sold Sissoko i'd say wrong choice,u can train him as a CB(this wud also solve the problem of lack of speed in CB,his physical stats is the best in the game).Finally Babel,let him be a stricker.He is much better there.

Forwards:
Sell Voronin.I'd use Torres and Kuyt as the top pair for now.Sign Vela for no matter how much.I got Vela in my 3rd season as Liverpool and he scored 10 goals and 4 assist out of 8 games,who can also be used as TM.He is great wiv jumping and heading.Dunno about Pato since i never had him in my team before.

A classic 4-4-2 diamond would do a great job.Use Alonso as a PM,since he is gd in every technical area alongside wiv his fantasic creativity.Use Vela(if u managed to sign him)as a TM.Always look for younger players cuz they r cheaper and that wud bring a great future for the club.Dun try too many players from rival teams,cuz normally they wud never sell u the one u want or they wud make the player way over priced.Try the smaller clubs,they wud normally sell equally gd players for less money.
