I have just started my third season with Derby, am in the uefa cup and won the league cup last season. I have so far finished 10th and 7th. I have wheeled and dealed this season and I think I have quite a strong squad to break into ATLEAST the top 6. I have listed my squad below, can anyone make any suggestions as to what / who they would buy, to improve my team. Please bare in mind, Im Derby, I only have 8m left, the players have to be realistic targets.

My Team:

GK: Kusczak / Bouzanis ( young GK @ liverpool, looks top class, Arsenal, Chelsea and United constantly bidding.

DL : Vidal / Nytanga ( have to keep due to home grown players in uefa cup)

DR : Some argie D/WB/LR I signed from Germany ( cant remember his name / Ratinho

DC : Ignasevic / Cabral

DC: Nedim Onuhua / Vidal


DMC : Kaboul / Medjani

MC : David Jones / Flamini

MC : Michael Woods / Ottil ( DMC from B Munich)


AML : De Maria / Pearson

AMR : Barnes / K Mirrales ( lille )


FC : Jermaine Defoe / Billy Sharp



This season I have signed Onouha, Defoe, De Maria and Mirrales. David Jones is top class, he has progressed amazing under me and my training. He scores at least 10 league goals a season and I rejected a 22m bid from Man Utd for him ( after asking for 22m ) so don't suggest getting rid of him.


I have played 4 games so far, beat West Ham 4v1, Tottenham 3v0, Drew with Chelsea 1v1 and lost to liverpool 2v1, I sit 4th currently so the start is promising!

Im on a similar position, i too am derby in my 4th season finishing in mid table positions, but now in my 4th season i cant buy a win and i have a great squad, what tactic are you using?

also what kind of players are you looking for, any particular position? or youngsters?

georginio wijnaldum - if you can still get him cheap by that season. i bought him for £200000 and his values rockets. so could be a good buy.

2nd Season with Derby and my chairman keeps accapting bids on my behalf!! My finances are fine?, have £22million to spend. Is anybody experienceing the same problem as me with derby?

Oh yeh and Sign Aaritalo if you can get him for a reasonable price AML/R ST...The Lad was averaging 7.67 for me last season when i struggled!
