I agree with Ian. If a player is earning a certain amount, I can't see him wanting to take a pay cut just so you can bring in extra players to compete with his position in the team. Maybe if the club has just been relegated or the club is in major debt. Then your options would be reducing ages by selling the players as well.

I would say just giving everyone at the club lower contracts is unrealistic and maybe taking advantage of a flaw in the game, thus against the ethics of LLM.

I have thought of another question: is it permitted to use the "Offer player to clubs" function? I could imagine a club starting negotiations for selling a player with a club that has expressed an interest in this player, so I suppose offering a player to every club in the country is a big nono under LLM ethics?

Yep, that's why I use the Ass mans realistic targets. He may be in the know and received the feelers from other managers on what they are looking for and who may be interested in that type of player.
