Hi guys,
being a newbie but lurking around for some time,i've got a question:
Does anyone know how teams get promoted into the playable leagues? Is it a reputation thing or does the AI simulate the lower leagues?
In my Belgian game, seems like always the same teams get promoted

Hi Steven, it's a problem that was certainly noticed in the English leagues in CM03/04, but i'm of the understanding that this is no longer an issue in FM2005 (it's more random).

What version of the game are you playing?

Thanks for the reply. I'm currently playing FM05 but I cant see the difference between FM and CM0304. The same teams keep getting the promotions, even if they're crap.Dont know about the English leagues though.Only played 1 game in them so far

Well, promotions work a bit better in England on FM, and since 6 teams get relegaqted from the COnference North & South divisions, there's a good chance some really obscure team will jump up.

Yep, lots of random teams going up in the english league. Playing with Matlock at the moment who i've never heard of, but have seen teams like Chelmsford and Solihull coming up.

tell you what on my last game i got to 2013, I was suprised that AFC Wimbledon never went into the Conference South
