Default Starting Afresh...

Hey All,

Wanted to to ask a couple of questions relating to starting a new game as I'd seen some posts saying what is / isn't acceptable.

My last game has come to a reasonable point to end (I was fired as England manager...:o) so I thought I'd have another go.

- Loading players from other leagues is not acceptable - correct?

- Can I start multiple countries leagues? For example, starting Italy, Spain and England? Or perhaps Sweden, Denmark, Norway?

Cheers

Matt

Correct, Matt. Retaining players is not accepted by LLaMa guidelines.

Starting leagues is up to you. Single, multiple anything. Whatever your machine can handle.

Personally I stick to two, maybe three leagues. (Currently England and Portugal). Some like to use all of them.

Cool - thanks. I asked the second question as I read someone say that moving between countries was not considered part of the rules... not sure if that's right or not...?

That used to be a huge part of the game before CM4, Matt. Pete's World Relegation Tour was a prime example.

Some guys are playing FM with a huge number of Leagues, but it's really slow.

Retaining players isn't wise because of the unbalancing of the game it causes.

I Tend to have 7 or eight different countries running.

These are generally neighbouring or have links like spain/portugal/brazil.

I Then enter myself as a manager from one of the countries picked.

Imo a manager is likly to move around a few counties, example english managers in france and spain, and vice verca.

Though I tend to not move nations until I have a reputation as it seems more realistic as which team in their right mind would higher a two bit manager from scotland!!

That was probably me trying to be sarcastic to no avail as usual

And yet you still persist.

<STRIKE>[STRIKE]Quite the timing to be sacked from the England post....</STRIKE> <STRIKE>[/speculation]</STRIKE>[/STRIKE]

Moving countries is very much encouraged, realistically of course. I load up as many countries as I can. Had a wonderful Nordic save before, though I found it hard to leave Norge. Or was that someone wouldn't let me leave Norge...I never get that right.

LOL Seamus, I have no idea what you mean! There's never a good time to get sacked as the England boss, surely?
