Ground Capacity - 2625
Board, crowd and pretty much everybody’s expectations – relegation battlers.
No transfer budget and but a bit of room to play with on the salary side of things. I use this to bring in as many free transfers as I can afford as I have no idea what sort of standard I’m looking for. Some of these turn out to be good enough, some don’t. Pure chance really.
Didn’t win for my first 4 games but things improved after that. Some good runs, some bad runs, some indifferent runs and a whole lot of inconsistency mean that I never look like going up. I never look like going down though so the season can be considered a success.

The board expects a relegation battle again but now that I have a better idea of what to expect I plan on pushing on a bit from last year. I don’t think I’m ready for a fully fledged promotion push yet though. Due to having signed way to many players last year I have a lot less room in my wage budget so only 2 players in and 2 players out. This time I have a good idea of what is needed and the players bought in are definitely up to standard.
Too many draws at the start of the season means that I loiter in the bottome half of the table until October. Things pick up after that but just as I really hit form the winter break comes and it takes me nearly 2 months to get back in form afterwards. I great finish sees us rise up the table but we still don’t get anywhere near the promotion spot.

My tiny ground and complete lack of resources means the board still only expect me to bravely battle relegation. I have other plans and feel I now have a team capable of a title challenge. I bring in 1 player on a free to cover my sole weakness and let a whole bunch of wasters contracts expire. After the end of last season confidence is sky high.
So of course it all comes to a grinding halt. At the beginning of November Minerul are languishing at the bottom of the table and I've run out of ideas. Lacking any plans for getting myself out of this mess I leap at the chance of managing one of the bigger clubs in my division when they come knocking.
Who cares about all that captains rubbish anyway?

The fact that they were only doing slightly better then me is why I got to jump ship.
There's a distinct lack of quality in the side when we arrive so as soon as teh winter transfer window opens we bring in some quality and dump some rubbish. Some maony even changes hands in this period, a first for me.
After the break we are much improved and only lose 3 times in 14 games and win 5, enough to keep us up and suggest that with a bit more quality a good finish is not beyond us next year.

The club expects us to achive mid-table but the media are tipping us for propmotion. Idiots. My only target for this season is to finish above Minerul as it might be pretty embarrassing if I don't.
We start well but its never going to last. Sure enough the slump comes in October. We pick up again after the winter break but then our form fails towards the end. Pretty mediocre alround really and I spend a lot of the season looking at youth players and signing up a fair few in the hope that they might make me a bit of money.
I should add at this point taht despite bein within my wage budget every season so far I have never failed to lose money, usually £300,000 a season. I have to get out of this division soon or we are going bust.

Oh yeah and last year I finished below Minerul who came 4th. I hang my head in shame.

Pandurii Tirgu Jiu
During ths summer I bring in some real quality, especially in midfield where I had been weak. Despite this even the media think the best we can aim for is mid-table this season. Ha.
The extra quality really tells and we walk the division. An early cup exit is the only blip and our superior quality tell across the park. We break all sorts of records and my star striker finishes the season as the divisions top scorer with 19 goals.
I really outclassed this division and hopefully I have enough quality to survive next year although theres a huge gulf in class between the top flight and the 3 feeder divisions.

Everybody predicts a relegation battle and everybody right. We start ok and hover outside the relegation zone until October but then reality checks in and we don't win another game until April when we win 2 on the trot to give us a chance with 3 games remaining.
Drawing our next game however which ends any realistic chance and a defeat to already relegated FC Sibiu ends any mathematical chance. All that remains is to travel to champions Rapid and get turned over which we accomplish with some style losing 4-0 and finishing last.
Despite a record breaking season last year the gulf in class was too much for us and we descend back to the purgatory of 2nd Division football. Some Huge gates this season have drastically reduced our debts and with the wage bill not having increased by much we should be ok for next seasons promotion push.
